Chiller Plant Replacement
Original 26 year old penthouse chiller plant was in need of replacing with more efficient equipment.
Also the chillers contained CFC ozone depleting refrigerant and were loud and hindered the rental of penthouse suites.

Chiller Plant Optimization
Their 400-ton constant speed centrifugal chiller operated at considerably less design capacity than the 750 ton chiller when those two are operating together. The low load operating condition of the 400-ton chiller caused loud and unstable conditions, and a surge condition. The Hospital wanted to correct the chiller plant problems and increase energy efficiency.
